Ribbhu Mehra: Kirtida Mistry was the first person I became friends with when I shifted to Mumbai; we are just best friends

Actor Ribbhu Mehra shares a close bond with actress Kirtida Mistry of Mere Sai: Shraddha Aur Saburi fame. The two are often seen posting videos and photos together on their respective social media platforms. Ribbhu asserts that they are just friends, unlike what many think. He tells us, "Kirti was the first person I became friends with when I shifted to Mumbai.I have known her for the past seven-eight years. We are best friends and nothing more than that. A lot of people think that we are dating but I think it's just that we are so comfortable with each other that it shows in our pictures and videos. She lives near my residence and we often catch up with each other."

'Once love happens, marriage will follow'
So if not Kirtida then is he dating someone? "I am single," he laughingly replies. "I would be happy to fall in love with someone. We all might be modern and cool gen but at the end of the day, we all need someone whom we can go back to and share our deepest secrets and feelings and just be ourselves without the fear of being judged. I also believe in the institution of marriage. Once love happens, marriage will follow. Though, right now, my work is my priority," he says.
'In touch with the makers of Bigg Boss for the upcoming season
It's been a while that Ribbhu hasn't taken up any project on TV. He was last seen in Kumkum Bhagya. "Because of the pandemic, everything went on hold. I have recently started getting work calls again. I have been approached for a movie too but nothing has been finalised," he says. We hear that he is also in touch with the makers of the reality show Bigg Boss for the upcoming season. Ask him if this is true and he answers, "Well, talks are on. I was approached for the show last year as well but things couldn't materialise that time. Nothing is confirmed yet. It's too early to say anything. All I can say is that let's hope for the best."
'Work as a DJ and stock market trader to pay my bills'
For the uninitiated, Ribbhu is also a DJ and stock market trader. "You can't only rely on acting for your financial needs. I work as a DJ and stock market trader to pay my bills. But acting is my first love," he says.
